The Randox Grand National is the most famous Steeple Chase in the world, taking place every year in April at the Aintree Racecourse, in Merseyside. Broadcast on ITV, this worldwide event attracts an estimated television audience of around 600 million, with more than 150,000 people enjoying the action live over the course of the three-day racing festival.
The Randox Grand National Day takes place on the Saturday and is packed with competitive racing with the main feature race taking place towards the end of the day, a marathon test of four and a quarter miles which tests the skill, determination and stamina of a racehorse like no other.
Winning the race automatically etches your name into racing and sporting folklore, with three-time winner Red Rum as famous as any sportsman or woman on the planet.
